Laurence Sacker joined the London office of UHY Hacker Young in May 1998. He is a partner in the Corporate Finance department spending much of his time assisting clients to raise equity and debt finance for business ventures, developing business plans and financial models. He undertakes due diligence investigations and advises companies on valuation, mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
Laurence qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1981 and has been involved in the flotation of a number of fully listed and AIM companies and undertaken many fund raising and due diligence exercises. Laurence was awarded the Corporate Finance (CF) designation in 2006 in recognition of his experience in the sector.
He is also a member of the Academy of Experts and he continues to act as an expert by providing independent reports to assist in the resolution of commercial disputes, negligence, criminal and personal injury cases. As part of his work, Laurence has given evidence in court on a number of occasions.
